A programme of exhibitions and events
26.05 – 28.08.2022
The temporary organisation Bodies of Work came to life in the chapel of Kunsthal Extra City (Antwerp) during the summer of 2022. It filled the space with six different exhibitions and events curated by participants of the KASK & Conservatorium Gent Postgraduate Curatorial Studies.

The organisation and its fluid programme emerged out of the historic function of chapels as places of contemplation and as intimate gathering spaces. As the programme unfolded, it introduced a wide range of artistic practices. The role of Bodies of Work lied in the programming of these diverse practices in a single space, while simultaneously investigating the anatomy and modes of operation of artistic and curatorial organisations. By moving as a body, the programme developed to constantly adapt to the needs and desires of the collective, the individual practices and their audience.

Curatorial Studies Class of 2022
Josue Aliendre Carvani, Natalia Barczyńska, Valentina Bianchi, Myrna D’Ambrosio, Minne De Meyer Engelbeen, Amanda Hakoköngäs, Arno Huygens, Anna Laganovska, Yasaman Tamizkar, Alexandra Tryanova. Adriënne van der Werf, Bas Verwaetermeulen
